        *Dimensions of Learning Hub

    Dear Colleagues,

    The Australian National Schools Network is inviting educators of
    primary, secondary and tertiary sectors to attend a 5 day action
    learning hub on the Dimensions of Learning (DoL).

    The Dimensions of Learning is an instructional framework that
    incorporates the best of research and theories of learning. This
    model examines learning in relation to modes of thinking and is
    based on the premise that successful learning is based on five types
    of thinking

        * Dimension 1: Attitudes and Perceptions about Learning
        * Dimension 2: Acquisition and Integration of Knowledge
        * Dimension 3: Extension and Refinement of Knowledge
        * Dimension 4: Meaningful Use of Knowledge
        * Dimension 5: Productive Habits of the Mind

    The focus of the 5 days will be to provide participants with
    knowledge and skills that help identify how students learn as well
    as translating this information into a program to help educators
    plan curriculum, assessment and instruction strategies.  Click here

    At this stage we are looking at viable locations for our hubs, and
    if your school is interested in hosting the hubs or is interested in
    registering for the professional learning contact  Hanan Harrison on

    phone on 0407 462272. Or return our registration form to our
    national office.

    Each hub will be strictly limited in size to ensure participants
    make the most of the interactive workshops.  If your school/cluster
    would like to secure your place in this Hub you will need to
    complete and fax back by the 2nd March.
