Big Picture Education South Australia PD
Big Picture Education is providing two professional development 
opportunities in Queensland in April 2009.

   1. 1 day intensive workshop on April 22nd 2009 - (download PDF Flyer)
   2. 2 day advanced course on 23-24th April 2009  - (download PDF Flyer)

The 1 day course will focus on:

    * Personalising learning -- One student at a time and the Personal 
Learning Plan
    * Learning through internship -- the role of the mentor
    * Academic Rigour -- Establishing and assessing Learning Goals to 
Exhibition
    * Schools - Small by Design
    * Real consultation -- In school and in the community

The Advanced Program will cover:

    * Current Thinking and Developments in Big Picture in the USA and 
Australia
    * Exploring the Critical Areas that set Big Picture Apart including:
          o Working with Schools for Change
          o The Theory of Organisational Development
          o Group Dynamics / Network Theory
          o Pedagogical Research
    * Rigor and Standards in the Current Context\

    Costs

The Professional development fees for the one day intensive workshop are:
    * $110 per person
    * If more than 2 from a school then $90 per person
    * If Big Picture or ANSN member then $80 per person
    * If more than 2 from Big Picture or ANSN school then $70 per person

The Professional development fees for the two day Advanced course are:
    * $360 per person
    * If more than 2 from a school then $290 per person
    * If Big Picture or ANSN member then $320 per person
    * If more than 2 from Big Picture or ANSN school then $260 per person
