*Embedding IWBs into the Curriculum*
This hub has been designed for educators who are already using a
Promethean interactive
whiteboard, and want to further develop their skills and practices.
The aim of the hub is to
enable teachers to use IWB in designing engaging and rigorous
learning experiences for their
students. During the hub participants will develop an
inter-disciplinary unit of work that
incorporates rich IWB activities.
Target audience
Educators who work with students from Prep to Year 9, who have prior
experience in using
IWBs. This hub is best suited to participants who have already
completed basic IWB training.
Through the IWB Hub participants will:
* Become familiar with the 5 levels of an IWB Continuum
* Use the IWB continuum to identify current skill levels and
practice and set goals for improvement
* Acquire new skills to enable more effective use of
Interactive Whiteboard Technology.
* Embed IWB practice within an existing or current unit of work
* Explore the opportunities for innovative learning and
teaching using IWBs
* Plan and teach an interdisciplinary unit of work integrating
the use of the IWB
* Evaluate and share units with other colleagues
